What is negotiation? According to Wikipedia: negotiation is a process where each party involved in negotiating tries to gain an advantage for themselves by the end of the process. Negotiation is intended to aim at compromise. So, during negotiation, both parties should firstly let the other party know your target and what you need, and then do the negotiation accordingly.

 

For makeup brushes, the most common topic we should negotiate is not price but the MOQ. At the very beginning, we will tell customers that our MOQ is 1000pcs each. We have explained the reason why the MOQ should be 1000pcs in previous articles. While, we often find that customers will disappear after knowing our MOQ. Some customers will tell us that they can not meet our MOQ, so it is no necessary for further discussion.

 

In fact, it is really imprudent to give up at such early step. We know that the customers must source many suppliers for one enquiry; they believe it is no necessary for further discussion with those suppliers who can not offer the best condition at the very beginning. While, without knowing customers any situation or information, it is hard for us to offer our best condition and terms at the very beginning. After receiving any inquiry on makeup brushes, we always ask about customers demand quantity, but only get reply like: please just let us know your MOQ.

 

It will be the best if customers can firstly tell the makeup brush manufacturer their order quantity, then the manufacturer will check if they can do such quantity. Sometimes, as long as the customers really need the brush and will place orders, the makeup brush factory will agree to make just 500pcs each or even 300pcs each even if it is more difficult. However, the customers disappear without any further discussion or explanation.

 

Most makeup brush manufacturers will receive tens inquiry emails every day, it is impossible to tell all customers that their MOQ is 300pcs each since so small quantity is very hard to handle.

My participating of the 16th CBE in Shanghai on May 18th, 2011

Yesterday, as the sales of our makeup brush factory, I participated in the 16^th CEB in Shanghai.

 

I entered into the hall at about 9:30, the ticket is free for visitors as long as you can offer two name cards and fill in a paper.

 

I firstly entered into the W2 hall, as I had viewed the introduction before and got known that W2 is the hall for cosmetics and perfume exhibitors, as well as the related accessory exhibitors, which must include the makeup brush manufacturers.

 

There were a lot of shows in the hall, many exhibitors tried their best to attract people, their booths were also beautiful and attractive, with the interesting shows and live makeup show, many visitors stopped to watch.

 

Many famous cosmetics brands had their booths in W2, including many Koran, Japan and Italian brands. However, most are color cosmetics brands, there are only about 5 booths for makeup brushes, most of the visitors are foreigners, some of them are very interested to the exhibited makeup brushes, so it can prove that makeup brush industry is very potential.

 

I also visited W1, W3, E1 and E2 halls, though I really wanted to visit more halls, it is too hot and tired, and the Brochures and samples get from the exhibitors are so heavy, so I was out of the hall on about 4:00pm. I was very happy to get many free masks and Trial packs.

 

If possible, hope our factory can be an exhibitor of the CEB next year, I think it will must bring a lot of business for the makeup brush factory through joining the exhibition. Many international and internal customers may wholesale or custom makeup brushes after visiting our showroom and booth.

How to apply party makeup

Before applying party makeup, prepare yourself for this. Cleanse your face using cleanser. Then apply toner to remove any leftovers of cleanser. People with oily face, should use astringent instead of toner; it will help opening pores and freshening the face. After cleansing and toning apply moisturizing lotion.

After the moisturizer dries completely, apply foundation over it. Blend it completely on all areas like corner of eyes, sides of nose, chin, neck and ears. Choose a foundation shade, which matches your skin tone and it should be a shade lighter than your skin tone. On wider parts of the face, which you want to recede, you can apply darker shade of the foundation. Use concealer to hide the under eye dark areas. While applying party makeup for eyes, you have much to experiment with. With eyeshadow, use highlighter too. First prime the eyelids by applying foundation or primer over it. Some Tips For Party Makeup

- You can add shimmer over the eyeshadow but it should be applied with wet brush to prevent it from falling on cheeks.

- You can apply bright colors of mascara like turquoise, violet, green etc. on the tips of lashes.

Priming Of The Lips

Before you apply lipstick, make sure that lips are smooth and clean. Prepare a base on the lips by applying foundation or lip balancer. It will smoothen the uneven tone of the lips. After applying it, dust a little translucent powder.

Using Lip Liner, Outline the lips

Choose a lip liner pencil of a shade matching the shade of your lipstick. Lip liner of dark shade should not be used with light colored lipstick. Lightly apply lip liner with steady hand. While applying on the upper lip, start from the center towards the edges of the lip. IN case of lower lips, apply from corner to corner.

Applying lipstick

Take a narrow, flat brush and dab little lipstick on it. Fill the outlined lips with lipstick. On the upper lips, start filling the lipstick from the middle in outward direction while in the lower lips, fill it from corner to corner. Do not apply lip color in excess. First start with less of lipstick and later, you can add more. It is more convenient than removing any extra color.

Blotting off first coat of lipstick

Take a clean tissue and put it between both lips. Press your lips lightly; it will blot off any extra lip color. After this you can apply second coat of lipstick if desired. It will help lipstick stay longer.

Applying Lip Gloss

Apply lip-gloss in the end to give lips a glossy look. People with full lips should avoid using lip-gloss.

Special Tips For Lip Makeup

- If you have heavy makeup on eyes, balance it with soft lip color. For light eye makeup, apply dark colored lip color.
- Application of lip base or foundation is important to keep the lipstick in place for longer time. It will prevent lipstick from smudging.
- You can use shining lip liner for a different look.
- If you have thick lips, you can make them look smaller by applying outline in natural shape. For this type of lips, avoid dark colors of lipstick like brown, plum, pale shimmers; instead use medium toned lip color.
- For thin lips, apply outliner pencil out of the natural shape of the lips. Draw the outline, very carefully and slowly, to get the natural shape. Fill in the lip color and finish with touch of frost on upper lips.
- If you have no particular shape of lips, draw a shape carefully, starting from the center of the lips and towards corners
