Tensile Test on makeup brushes

 Due to different requirements on makeup brush quality and grade, during custom makeup brushes, some customers may require tensile test on the makeup brushes.

As a makeup brush manufacturer, we can do the tensile test for customers; however, we cannot do it by ourselves but should send our makeup brushes to special institute for test, so it will raise testing cost.

For sponge applicator, the tensile test is to test the pull force between sponges and handles, and between ferrule and handle. For pull force between sponge and handle should be no less than 0.5 lbs, and the ferrule and handle should no less than 2.5 lbs.

For lip brush, the tensile test is to test the pull force between bristle and ferrule, and between ferrule and handle. For pull force between bristle and ferrule should be no less than 2.5 lbs, and the ferrule and handle should no less than 3.0 lbs.

Generally, our quotation is EXW price, not including any special requirement or test, so our quotation does not include the fee of tensile test.

How to test brush bristles fading?

 When custom makeup brushes, most customers require color dyeing on brush hair, some may want only one hair color, some may request two or three hair colors. Whatever, since it is dyeing process, fading is an essential attention of makeup brush manufacturers during incoming inspection. The original hair color will not fade, for example, the pony hair is light brown, the goat hair is white, the synthetic original fiber is white. Remove glue mark from makeup brushes

 It is known that makeup brush is a manual work, there are many uncontrollable problems during production, which may cause quality problem or unclean appearance.

To connect ferrules and handles, makeup brush manufacturers will use AB glue or hot melt glue during the gluing process. Please check here to see detailed differences between them. Although AB glue requires much longer drying period, it is stronger than hot melt glue, so many customers insist on AB glue for their makeup brushes.

But since AB glue is liquid, it is hard to control the dosage. If the glue is not enough, the connection will not be strong; but if too much glue, it will overflow during handle assembly. If the liquid AB glue overflowed from the makeup brush ferrule, it will cover on the ferrule and handle or leave some glue mark, then how to handle this? Scrap or repair them?
