How to avoid potential delay on shipment

Many customers may have such experience that the makeup brush suppliers delay the shipment frequently, although you have complained this for many times and expressed your disappointment for such delay, the suppliers also promise that such delay will not happen any more. However, your next shipment is delayed again!
 
The reason is most Chinese makeup brush factories are small workshop, the management and production control is somewhat weaker than other industries, although your suppliers do try their best, the production and delivery is often out of their control.
 
In fact, it is not difficult for customers to avoid such problem; just let the suppliers realize that it will bring them a great lost for any delay. For example, the customers can indicate in the purchase order or agreement that if any delay happens, the suppliers must pay penalty to customers, say, 1% of total amount for each day delay. That is, if the total amount of the order to custom makeup brushes is USD1000, the delivery date on the orders is August 20th, but the real delivery date is August 30th, then the suppliers should pay USD100.0 to customers! That is really a great threat to the makeup brush suppliers or manufacturers. I believe no supplier will ignore such terms and will try best to deliver the brushes in time.
 
Although we are the makeup brush factory, we should try best avoiding the risks of ourselves; someone may not understand why I teach customers this, I really believe it is my responsibility to avoid of customers risks. I am suffered a lot due to my suppliers’ delay on shipment. And per my experience, after adding such term in the agreement, my material is seldom delayed; my orders always have the priority during the suppliers’ the production!
