Chinese new regulation on export samples

During international business, samples are very important to both sides due to the distance limit. In the past, if we need to send samples to customers via express, we only need to fill in the waybill and proforma invoice, it is very convenient for the Chinese suppliers to promote their products.

 

While from 2010 July 1^st, according to the documents issued by the Chinese General Customs Administration: all the samples and printings, no matter free or not, shall be declared by the consignees or their agents who have license to import and export, and be inspected and cleared by the customs in accordance with the provisions of the Regulations.

 

Due to such documents and regulation, the express companies like DHL/FEDEX/ UPS etc, will require you to offer all custom declaration documents related documents, for example: Declaration Certificate of Entrustment, Agreement with Forwarder as well as the waybill and proforma invoice, all documents must be sealed and stamped. It somewhat leads to more inconveniences for the exporters.
